Updated: Sep 7, 2020
Every strain affects us differently, this is mostly reflective of the species, terpene and cannabinoid levels. Choosing different strains, will give us a different experience. Understanding them will make sure you have the best experience your looking for
It is usually a general rule of thumb that these plants will stay true to their species origin, however every strain has varying effects due to the chemical composition and the growing methods. Each strain is unique and has its name so we can identify its specific characteristics
This strain provides full body effects that relaxes you; ideal for sleep, introspection, and pain relief. It's usually recommended in the evenings or whenever you want to chill
Its leaves are short and bushy and usually has higher levels of CBD than THC
Blue Dream, Platinum Kush, Peyote Cookies, Granddaddy Purple, Holy Grail, Strawberry Yum Yum, Purple OG Kush, Durban Poison
This plant produces feelings of a euphoric high that usually results in increased energy, focus and productivity. That's why sativa's are recommended to be consumed during the day time. Think sativa-sun, to remember its used during the day. You can choose dosage and THC levels that are right for you.
This is a tall plant with thin leaves and usually has higher doses of THC
Pineapple Express, Sour Diesel, Maui Waui, Blue Mataro, Mimosa, King Tut, Jack Herer, AK-47, Jack the Ripper, Jillybean
Hybrid's are a combination of two different plants that result in a new species, this is called crossbreeding. Usually professionals want to isolate the best chemical compounds of each parent plant to make a new plant with the best characteristics. For example if they want to increase the THC level, growers would combine two strong plants to make a stronger one.
Hybrid's can vary, either
• 50:50 balance of indica and sativa
• Indica dominant hybrid
• Sativa dominant hybrid
Skywalker OG, Dosey Doe, Passionfruit, Bruce Banner, Cannatonic, Snow White, God Bud, Frosted Flakes, Fruity Pebbles, Bubba OG
What changes the effect cannabis has on us can be;
Species (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid)
Cannabinoids (THC, CBD and more)
Method of consumption
Individual differences; can be anything from not eating, dehydration, state of mind, tolerance etc.
By your preferences, you can choose if you'd like to experience energy, relaxation, or a balance of physical and mental effects. Also if you'd like the more euphoric high with THC or just the benefits from CBD.
